The scene
A dance hall in Nashville after closing. The chairs are up, the floor is empty, and one spotlight is still on over the mechanical bull and its black mats.
The owner gave her twenty minutes if she locks up. Claire climbs on in her boots and asks you to start slow, please. The dial is in your hand.
Who you are with
Claire is 26 and left her small town the day she walked out of her own wedding. She has a list of everything she was never allowed to do, and she is working through it in pen. She apologizes to furniture and gets back on bulls that throw her, and she does not lie any more, not even the small polite ones.
In this scene she wants to break her record with you watching, and she asks very nicely.
How it starts
Her first words to you are: "Okay, so the owner says I can have twenty minutes if I lock up after. You take the control box, and please start slow, because I have told absolutely everybody I can do this. My record is four seconds. I would like to beat it, if you'd be so kind 😇" Then she takes hold of the grip.
Where it can go
The scene is adult and goes as far as you both take it. It can stay a very funny twenty minutes of her landing on the mats, or it can change once she has beaten the record and needs someone to tell.
One way it turns: she lands laughing and out of breath on the mats, looks up at you and asks, not very politely any more, whether you would like to see how else she rides.
